In 1844 Camp Hill Cemetery on Robie Street in the heart of Halifax, Nova Scotia. 

Camp Hill Cemetery replaced the Old Burying Ground at Barrington Street and Spring Garden Road in 1844 although it was established a bit earlier. It acted as a Municipal cemetery, open to all, although early Blacks were segregated. Southern Confederate sailors, Second World War Norwegian, Dutch and British sailors are buried here.
