Robertson DaviesRobertson Davies was a novelist, playwright, critic, journalist, and professor.  He was also the founding Master of Massey College, University of Toronto.

    Memorial stone in the family plot at Mount Pleasant, Toronto. 

    Robertson Davies died of a stroke in Orangeville hospital.  His funeral was conducted in Trinity College Chapel in the University of Toronto with John Irving reading the lesson.  Davies' ashes were scattered in the garden of Windhover, his 100 acre rural property in the Caledon Hills near Orangeville, Ontario.
